Why is Quillmatic priced lower than Clio for solo attorneys?
Clio charges per user. A solo attorney pays the same per-user rate as an attorney in a 20-person firm and ends up at firm-level pricing for a single-user account. Quillmatic charges per account, not per user, because the product was built for solo practitioners. The flat rate reflects that.
Are there hidden fees or add-on modules?
No. Every active Quillmatic tool is included in both paid plans. The difference between Solo and Firm is capacity (more documents, more templates, more portals) and AI features (AI billing narratives and voice memo transcription on Firm). New tools are added to existing plans at no additional charge for existing subscribers.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. You can switch between Free, Solo, and Firm at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
What happens during the 14-day free trial?
You get full access to the Solo or Firm plan you selected. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the 14 days, if you have not added a payment method, your account pauses and your data is preserved. Add a payment method any time to resume.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You retain access through the end of your current billing period. Your data remains exportable from the data import and export tools. We do not charge cancellation fees and we do not delete your data when you cancel.
Do you offer annual pricing or discounts?
Not currently. Monthly billing only at this stage. Annual pricing will be added in a future update.
Is the price going to increase?
Current pricing is the founding member rate. Future pricing for new subscribers may be higher; existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current rate.
